Winnipeg city Coun. Steen charged with assault

Criminal charges have officially been laid against city Coun. Thomas Steen.

The former Winnipeg Jet was charged with uttering threats and stands accused of assaulting a woman at a Winnipeg restaurant on May 1.

Steen has been court-ordered to stay away from the woman and to abstain from alcohol.
