Winnipeg Falun Gong followers celebrate 22nd anniversary

The demonstration celebrated the 22nd anniversary of Falun Gong.

Falun Gong (or Falun Dafa) is a combination of meditative and slow-moving spiritual exercises.

In China, followers of Falun Gong have faced persecution for their beliefs.

Maria Cheung practices Falun gong and said everyone should have the right to practice what they want.

"We want to let them know that Falun Gong is good and also the persecution is not right, said Cheung. Everybody should stand up, because this is the value that every Canadian should hold.

Today, over 100-million people around the world practice Falun Gong.
