We follow five young men as they departtheir homes and through their journey during the Second World War. We care for them immediately not just for their charms, but for what we know lies ahead.

Letters home take us into their thoughts, but the scenes where the men interact with each other are the heartbeat of this production. The build to D-Day iscrushing.

The play moves in fits and burststhe horrible waiting, not knowing what's next.

All five actorsgive solid performances. But the journey that Devin Wesnoski takes us on, showing us the cost of surviving,has me crying as I type this.

This was only the second standing ovation I've been a part of at the Fringe. I plan to go back for another.
