Winnipeg girl, 16, in hospital after assault near downtown bridge

A Winnipeg teenis in hospital in unstable condition after she was foundSaturday morning following an assault.

Police said a 16-year-old girlwas assaulted andfound around 7 a.m. near the Midtown Bridge at Donald Street. She remains in hospital.

Officers were on the scene investigating most of the afternoon Saturday. Members of the homicide unit are continuing investigations and ask anyone with information about the identity of the suspect to contact police at204-986-6508or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
