Roman Jestadt and his brother were driving along St. Anne's Roadlast Fridaywhen they got into a verbal dispute with the passengerof an SUV.

"I don't know exactly why he got so mad. I think maybe at one point he was trying to pull beside me and then cut me off and I sped up a little bit," Jestadt said.

They eventually ended up stopped next to each other at an intersection. Jestadt said the man in the passenger seat of the SUV started yelling at him.

"I didn't feel like I did anything wrong," he said. "I rolled down my window and laughed at him because I thought it was a little bit hysterical ... then he spit on my window."

That prompted Jestadt to "give him the middle finger," he said.

"I don't usually do that, but it was kind of a natural reaction," he said."Big wad of spit on my window, so I was a little bit ticked off about that. Probably shouldn't done that looking back now."

Jestadt saidwhen they stopped again at anotherred light, the manin the SUV was so irate hejumped out and tried to smash the window of hiscar, repeatedly slamming his elbow into the glass.
