Winnipeg woman, 29, dead after Provincial Road 207 crash

RCMP closed a section of Provincial Road 207, six kilometres west of Lorette, Man. after a crash on Sunday morning.

A 29-year-old woman from Winnipeg is dead after a serious collision on Highway207, six kilometres west of Lorette, Man., Sunday morning.

RCMP were called to the area just before 5 a.m. after a car and a pickup truck crashed halfway between Deacon's Corner and Lorette.

The woman driving the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 18-year-old man driving the truck and his two passengers are in stable condition, RCMP said.

Alcohol is considered a factor.

Corrections

  • RCMP provided incorrect information for an earlier version of this story, which stated the woman who died was 39 and the driver of the truck was a woman. In fact, the victim was 29 and the driver of the truck was a man.
