Woman's body pulled from Red River

A woman's body was pulled from the Red River north of the Lockport dam on Saturday.

RCMP said they received a report of a body in the river around 2:30 Saturday afternoon and emergency personnel recovered the remains a short while later.

The age and identity of the deceased have not been determined and an autopsy has been scheduled.

Lockport is about 20 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
