COVID-19 in Quebec: What you need to know on Thursday

Dub spoke to reporters in a Montreal parking lot where people were lined up to be tested behind him.

Quebechas been under pressure to provide more testing capacity as Montreal bar-goers have been lining up for hours all weekto get tested.

NewCOVID-19 testing sites are opening in Montrealtoday and Friday.

Public health officials in Montreal have beenaskingthe government to increase the number of testing sites after tellingeveryone who'd been in a bar in the city since July 1 to get tested.

So far, 45 cases have been linked to 14 bars.

What are the symptoms of COVID-19?

Quebec government reminders for preventing the spread of COVID-19:

  • Wash your hands frequently.
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • It is recommended to wear a mask or face covering, especiallywhen physical distancing is not possible, in an indoor public space and on public transit.
  • Stay at least two metres away from other people as much as possible.
  • Self-isolate for 14 days after returning from a stay outside the country.
