Gary Carter named to Hall of Fame

Former Montreal Expos Catcher Gary Carter has been elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Former Montreal Expos Catcher Gary Carter has been elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame.

He is the National League record-holder for games caught.

Carter is the first player to have spent a significant portion of his career with the Expos to be elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

Ex-Baltimore slugger Eddie Murray joins Carter. The two will be inducted into the hall on Sunday, July 27 at Cooperstown, New York.
