Saint-Henri boil water advisory cancelled

It is now safe for all Saint-Henri residents to drink their tap water.

The area bounded by St-Jacques,de Courcelle andSt-Antoine streets and Atwater Avenue had been under a boil water advisory following a water main break Saturday.

The advisory was lifted Tuesday afternoon.

Some residents were critical of the Southwest borough's handling of the situation, saying they weren't properly notified about the advisory and what areas it affected.

In the last few days, four water mains in the neighbourhood have burst.

Southwest borough MayorBenoit Dorais blamedthe spate of breaks on the borough's aging infrastructure.
