Syrelle Lefebvre, 9, shows off her skateboarding skills

The Quebec City Bowl Bash, a skateboarding competition,has a fierce competitor this year.

She's 9-year-old Syrelle Lefebvre.

The Plaza Bowl in Victoria Park has basically become her second home.

"What's fun about the bowl is that you can go on the borders, jump -- you can do everything without stopping," said Lefebvre.

She started skateboarding three years ago.

"I was bike riding one summer in a rink that had ramps for skateboarding. I saw people rolling, and I said to myself that it must be fun to go on a skateboard."

Lefebvre says that she doesn't go unnoticed.

"I'm little, but people recognize me easily."

Lefebvre will be competing in her first competition on Saturday at the Quebec City Bowl Bash.

The winner takes home a cash prize of $600.
