The second-degree murder trial of Dennis Oland will continue Tuesday morning and the Crown will call a witness to testify about Richard Oland'scellphone.

The iPhone 4 was the only item missing from the office Richard Oland was killedin.

Saint John Police ForceConst. DavidMacDonaldwas cross-examined on Mondayby defence lawyer Alan Gold. He was asked about the brown sports jacket seized as evidence during the investigation.

MacDonald previously testified that heplaced the jacket into a paper bag that measured about 30 centimetres by 30 centimetres.

MacDonald said Monday that the handling of the jacket"could have been done better."

The jacketspent nearly a years in the hands of theRCMP,

MacDonaldalso confirmed there was no way to say how long the stains had been on the jacket.
