Dennis Oland could testify at his murder trial as early as this week

Dennis Oland's second-degree murder trialresumes on Monday morning in Saint John.Computer forensics expert Geoffry Fellows will be called to the stand.

For the first time in four years, Dennis Oland willspeak abouthis father's slaying when he's called to the witness box at his murder trial, the court heard Thursday.

Defence lawyer Gary Millersaid the Crown has not satisfied the legal burdenof provingbeyond a reasonable doubt that Oland committed this "dastardly deed."

Oland'smother, sister, wife,uncle,and a close friendwill also testify on his behalf.

The Crown wrapped up its 42-day case on Wednesday with a forensic scientist who testified the DNA extracted from three small bloodstains on DennisOland'sjacket matched RichardOland's.

Oland could testify as early as this week.
