The reward for anyone who provides information that leads to locating JamiSpringer of Moncton has been increased to $12,000.

The 28-year-old woman was last seen Aug. 31, 2016, in Moncton, and the RCMP's major crime unit is investigating her disappearance as suspicious.

Family and friends of Springer have now raised $10,000 as a reward for anyone who provides information that leads to finding Springer. Coupled with a $2,000 reward offered by Crime Stoppers, that pushed the total available reward to $12,000.

Previously, a $10,000 reward was offered.

RCMP Const. Hans Ouellette said the Springer case continues to be an active investigation.

"We continue to believe someone knows what happened to Jami," Ouellette said in a news release. "We strongly urge anyone with information to come forward to help find her."

Springer was last seen late on the afternoon of Aug. 31, walking on McLaughlin Drive in Moncton.

In February, her father said the $10,000 reward hadn't yielded any answers.

"The amount of leads has been less frequent as of late and the information, as we all know, has not provided us the answer we're looking for," said Brent Springer.

Anyone with information about Jami Springer's whereabouts is asked to contact Codiac RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
