Fredericton's Kimble Skateboard Park closed for upgrades

City crews started upgrades to Kimble Skateboard Park on Wednesday, shutting down the park for the majority of summer.

Regulars of the KimbleSkateboard Park in Frederictonwill have to find other places to ride for the next six weeks, the city has announced.

The skateboardpark closed to the public on Wednesday, as city crews began work on the park's upgrades.

The city's recreation division will be pouring a new concrete surface and adding obstacle components, among other upgrades.

Lucky for skateboarders, there are alternative places to ride.

The City of Fredericton's website advises riders to visit Northside Youth Centre at Willie O'Ree Place, Mitch Clarke Nasis Park or Henry Park.
