14-year-old boy on life support after collision in Blackville, N.B.

A 14-year-old boy from Blackville, N.B., is on life support following a collision on Howard Road, according to RCMP Sgt. Andr Pepin.

The collision happened around 5:30 p.m. on Friday when a dirt bike and car collided

A 14-year-old boy from Blackville, N.B., is on life supportfollowinga collisionon Howard Road, according to RCMP Sgt.Andr Pepin.

The collision happened around 5:30 p.m. on Friday whena dirt bike and car collided.The boy was driving the dirt bike andsuffered "serious injuries," Pepin said, and was taken to the hospital in Moncton.

Police say he is critically injured. The driver of the car was not injured, Pepin said.

The investigation is ongoing.

  • A previous version of the story said the boy died. That information came from RCMP. RCMP clarified their statement on Sunday to say he is critically injured and still on life support.
