Petitcodiac woman watches RCMP apprehend Tyler Noel

While she didn't know at the time it was him,Jeanette Huckins watched Saturday as RCMP found and arrested Tyler Noel.

Noel is one of threepeople charged with the first-degree murder of 18-year-old Baylee Wylie.

RCMP have been searching for him and Marissa Shephard since both were named as persons of interest in Wylie'sdeath in mid-December.

The Petitcodiac resident says she was getting ready to leave her home when she saw a black car speed by and then a police car. Both vehicles stopped not far from her home and Huckins thought they had caught a speeder.

Huckins says the doors on the black car opened quickly and the three people tried to run. That's when she heard the police officer yell.

"All of a sudden I heard 'freeze' right loud and then I looked over and I could see the police officer with his gun out pointing. Two people were in the ditch laying face down and one was in the middle of the road, facedown on the road," said Huckins.

"I could hear the officer say, 'keep your head down, keep your head down.'"

Officers handcuffed and put all three people into the police cars, Huckins said.

"You could see them patting him down and putting the handcuffs on him and putting him in one car," she said."They had theirhoodiesover their faces. It was quite a surprise to uswhen we found out what we saw."

Huckins said after the three peoplewere in the police cars, officers began searching the black car.

Codiac RCMPhave confirmed Tyler Noel,18 was apprehended in Petitcodiacaround 1 p.m. on Saturday and say he was in a car at the time.

Police say police arrested the other two people and as of Sunday at noon they remained in custody.

Shephard still wanted

RCMP have been searching for Noel andMarissaShephard, 20, since they were charged withfirst-degree murder and arsonin connection withWylie'sdeath.

Noel was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear inMonctonprovincial court Wednesday morning.

Police are now focusing on capturing Shepherd and are asking for the public's help.

Sheis described as Caucasian, 167 centimetrestall and weighs approximately 45kg.

Shephardhas brown eyes and brown hair. She has a tattoo with the name Stephen on her neck and a tattoo of a crown on her chest.

Police had warned that the pairwere considered dangerous because of the violent nature of the crime, and that anyone helping them hide could face serious charges as well.

Noel and Shephard were named as persons of interest afterWylie'sbody was discovered after an early-morning house fire inMonctonon Dec. 17. They were charged with first-degree murder Dec. 24.

Devon Morningstar has also been charged with first-degree murder. He has been in custody since his arrest on Dec. 21. After a court appearance January 8, he was sent for a30-day psychiatric assessment.
