Morningstar, 18,is one of three peopleaccused of killing 18-year-old Baylee WylieinDec.of 2015. He is also accused of arson. The others accused in Wylie's death Marissa Shephard, 20, and Tyler Noel, 19 are to be tried separately on charges of first-degree murder.

The jury was chosen from a pool of 150 potential jurors, with 94 people called before the judge and lawyers before the selection process was completed.

Justice John Walsh is presiding over the case when Marc Savoie and Stephen Holt are acting for the Crown. Bob Rideout is Morningstar's lawyer.

The selection process took most of the day, with one five-minute break granted in the afternoon when Morningstar requested he be allowed to leave the courtroom to use the bathroom.

Once the jury was selected, the remaining 56 people who did not appear before the court were released shortly after 2 p.m.

The 12-person jury, and two alternateswere instructed by Walsh that specific directions would be given as to what they will be doing, and how they will do it, on Wednesday. But he warned them that though it may be tough for modern juries to stay away from social media,it is important to resist temptation to look at information posted about the trial.

"The system is putting its trust in you," said Walsh.

Court was adjourned until Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.
