The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said Tuesday that Steven Miller died in a homicide in Saturday's shocking incident in C.B.S. The force is looking for help from the public from a number of different locations.

In an unusual move, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary released a timeline Tuesday with in-depth details of what police believe transpired the night Steven Miller was killed.

Police rule C.B.S. death of Steven Miller, 25, a homicide

Police told reporters during a late Tuesday afternoon news conference thatMiller, 25, received multiple stab wounds early Saturday morning in Conception Bay South. Officers are treating his death as a homicide.

4:11 a.m

C.B.S. Highway, Seal Cove

Three armed, masked men force their way intoMiller's home. Miller isviolently abducted,beforethe assailants set the home ablaze.

By the time officers arrived on Saturday morning, the home on the Conception Bay South Highway was engulfed in flames. Police said the home was set on fire after Steven Miller was abducted.

Apparent Paradise stabbing sends man to hospital, police say

The man, 35, is in hospital in serious but stable condition. It's unknown if his stabbing is connected to the killing of Miller.

8:16 a.m.

BayviewHeights,Kelligrews

Miller's body is discovered at the end of a driveway, with multiple stab wounds. The location of where his body wasdropped is random, police said.

Roberts Heights, Paradise

Police respond to a call of asuspiciousfire and locate a number ofitems on fire.

Time unknown

FoxtrapAccess Road

Officers find a burnt 2005Dodge Caravan on a trail near Gull Pond. Police have confirmed the van was used in thehomicide.

How you can help police

1. Yellow gas container

Police want to speak with any owners, managers or supervisors at service stations that sold yellow fuel containers in the days before the killing.

RNC Supt. JasonSheppard is also looking for service stations that have information or surveillance video of the sale of gas or other fuel involving a yellow container.

The same goes for any individual that had yellow fuel containers stolen prior to Saturday.

2. Surveillance video

Police want residents of Bayview Heights with surveillance cameras or information of suspicious activity between 4 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. to come forward.

3. Suspicious activity

The RNC is also looking to determine when the Dodge Caravan used in the homicide was set fire.

Officers found the burnt out vehicle on the Foxtrap Access Road, across from Gull Pond.

Anyone with information on when the van was seen in the area would be helpful to the investigation, police said.
