CBC Warm Hearts: Supporting Local Food Banks in NL

Throughout December, CBC stations across the East Coast are helping to support local food banks through the CBC Warm Heats campaign. You can join in making an online donation until Dec. 31. Just click the red donate button here.

Part of this was CBC Feed NL Day, held onThursday, Dec.12. You helped to raisemore than $75,000 for local food banks in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Feed NL Day Highlights

Thanks to everyone who joined us all across the province on Thursday, Dec. 12 forfestive programming and entertainment in support of the Community Food Sharing Association.

In St. John's, CBCpersonalities and hosts wrapped gifts at the Avalon Mall in exchange forCommunity Food Sharing Association donations. In Grand Falls-Windsor, Martin Jones was live on location for CBC Newfoundland Morning at the Common Grounds Cafe.In Gander, Corner Brook, and Happy Valley-Goose Bay, folks came down to CBC stations with donations and to enjoy live broadcasts and entertainment. A big thank you to all the Community Food Sharing Association volunteers who joined us to collect your generous donations!
