Slip or hit? Moose calf takes a tumble on dashcam video

A dashcam captured a close call on Kenmount Road Monday morning, after a young calf was struck - or slipped - while crossing the road in traffic.

A young moose and a couple of drivers had a fright Monday morning, after a near miss on Kenmount Road that was captured on adashcam video.

Vehicles were driving in both directionson Kenmount Road when three moose darted across the busy roadway at 11 a.m.

The third calf was lagging behind and appears to have been struck by a car. The moose did get up and ran away in the opposite direction as the rest of the animals.

The car involved in the possible accident droveaway while the moose was still on the ground.

Daren Woodfine, who submitted the video, said he's not sure if the moose slipped or if it was hit, but says it demonstrates theneed for drivers to be more cautious on the road.

The street was wet at the time of the incident.
