Elderly woman dies in collision near Bellevue

An elderly woman has died in a two-vehicle collision near Bellevue, the RCMP say.

Whitbourne RCMPclosed Route 201 in Thornleaat about 7:30 p.m on Friday night after a crash in that community.

Police said the road would be closed for several hours.

Police said the crash was still under investigation late Friday night, and were expecting to release more information on Saturday.
