Helicopter joins 5th day of search for missing St. Anthony woman

A helicopter has joined the fifth day of searching for Jennifer Lynn Hillier-Penney, who was reported missing in St. Anthony Thursday morning.

RCMP Corp. Trevor O'Keefe said the helicopter joined the ground search effort for Hillier-Penney Monday morning, and all search efforts would continue until they've "exhausted" the search for the missing 38-year-old mother.

"I guess everybody out there is concerned. It's been four days now and there's still no sign of her," O'Keefe told CBC Radio'sCorner Brook Morning ShowMonday.

He said Hillier-Penney was last seen Wednesday evening, and reported missing Thursday morning.

"Every search and every situation is different, and that's how we're treating it."

'Check your properties, check your sheds'

O'Keefe said St. Anthony RCMP have extra resources from neighbouring detachments on the ground in the community, along with the dog unit and a ground search and rescue team from Roddickton.

"That's staffed by local people so they know the areas quite well," he said.

O'Keefe said all the information they have about Hillier-Penney'spossible whereabouts has come from interviewing family, friends and colleagues.

"We certainly would appreciate any public assistance out there, anything you know that you may have seen. It doesn't matter how small you may think it is," said O'Keefe.

He doesn't know how many tips police have received thus far, but is asking people to come forward with any information.

Residents in the community have been asked to check around their properties and sheds.

"The police and the ground search can't be everywhere all the time, so any help at all would certainly be greatly appreciated," said O'Keefe.

"Hopefully we can find Jennifer very quickly."
