Kenny Green pleads not guilty to murder

Kenny Green has pleaded not guilty to the second-degree murder of Joey Whalen in St. John's. Green is alleged to have beaten Whalen in March 2013 in what was a known drug house on Tessier Place.

Kenny Green is alleged to have beaten Joey Whalen to death in March 2013.

Kenny Green, 35, has pleaded not guilty to the second-degree murder of Joey Whalen, 47, in St. John's.

Green is alleged to have beaten Whalen in March2013 in what neighbours described as a drug house on Tessier Place, in the city's downtown.

The accusedwas denied bail, but has areview scheduled thisThursday.

Green along with another man was recently found not guilty of conspiring to escape from the Waterford Hospital.
