N.L. acts shut out at Juno Awards

A troika of artists from this province came up empty in their respective categories at the 2012 Juno Awards.

Newfoundland and Labrador artists have been shut out at the 2012 Juno Awards.

A troika of acts from this province were finalists. Most of the Junos were handed out last night in Ottawa, ahead of this evenings televised broadcast.

Hey Rosetta! lost out to Saskatoon-based The Sheepdogs in the New Group of the Year category.

Kellie Loder's album Imperfections and Directions fell to On The Altar of Love by Downhere for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year.

And The Onces effort Row Upon Row of the People They Know lost out to Bright Morning Stars by The Wailin Jennys in the Roots & Traditional Album of the Year: Group category.
