Michael Newhook posted dramatic dash cam video that shows him narrowly avoiding being hit by a truck passing on a highway

Dramatic video captured by a dashboard camera shows a pickup truck barreling straight towards another vehicle on Peacekeepers Highway in Conception Bay South Monday morning, while in the process of passingvehicles in the truck's lane.

"He nearly killed us both today," wrote Michael Newhook in his Facebook post sharing video of the incident.

Peacekeepers Way is the name for the Conception Bay South bypass road, where 17-year-old Alyssa Davis was killed in what police called a street-racing incident.

Newhook posted the following message along with the video:

"Anyone know who drives a blue single cab Chev with an 8 foot box and owns a 3 wheeler. He nearly killed us both today around 10 am on the Peace Keepers highway. If I didn't need a paycheck so bad I would have turned around and chased him. Feel free to share! If anything I can publicly shame him. He had all kinds of room to get in behind that car he just HAD to pass. What a moron."

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary tweeted Tuesday morning it was launching an investigation into the video.
