N.L. reports 4 new deaths due to COVID-19 in monthly update

Four more people have died in Newfoundland and Labrador due to COVID-19, according to public health's latest update.

Four more people have died in Newfoundland and Labrador due to COVID-19, according to the Health Department's latest update.

Two were 80 years old or over, one was in their 70s and one was in their 60s.

The deaths raise the provincial total to 364 since the beginning of the pandemic in March, 2020.

The province also reported 42 hospitalizations in the most recent reporting period Aug. 27-Sept. 23 including eight people admitted tocritical care.

Another 238cases of the virus were confirmed over the reporting period.

The next update is expected Oct. 25.
