"It has instilled fear in me for sure, so I'm here to deal with this properly."

WackjobNL

The @WackjobNLaccount was suspended in the last few days.

While it targeted Parsons and Holloway, the account was more apt to take on politicians of other stripes. Targets included former PC leader Paul Davis, Tory backbencher Jim Lester, the provincialNDPand former PC premier Danny Williams. It referred to IndependentMHAPaul Lane as "Travel Claim Lane."

Members of the local Twitter community often described @WackjobNL which usuallycarried the name Captain Howdy as being vicious or immature.

The owner of the account was most likely to tweet in the early evening, according to Twitter data that is still publicly available.

"I thinkthere was some reference that it might be somebody that is very close to all of us," Holloway told reporters after question period.

Holloway said there has been speculation as to who it may be, but did not name anyone in particular.

Joyce, Kirby allegations

Parsons said she told Premier Dwight Ball about her plans to go to the police.

As for the harassment allegations that are rocking theLiberal partythis week, she said it'ssomething that's been part of political culture for too long.

"It must be dealt with and it must be dealtwith timely and appropriately," she said.

"We know it's been a way of life in many industries, politics included, for years and years. But you know what? There's no room for this in this day and age."
