It began as a regularnight of forecasts for CBC meteorologistRyan Snoddon. That is, until Shaun Majumder took over.

As Snoddonwas bringing sunshine to Newfoundland and Labrador,Majumderhad a bone to pick: why wasn't his hometown on the weather map?

"I know I'm not supposed to be here, but I gotta ask you a question," Majumber said, ambling onto the Here & Now set.

"Why do you have Baie Verteon the map but you don't have Burlington? I worked hard to put that town on the map, and you're telling me it's not on the map?"

Mainly, he wanted to know what the weather was going to be like in Burlington on Aug. 24 to 26, for The Gathering, Majumder's three-day festival of comedy and food.

Luckily, Snoddon got him under control and the two made peace, with Majumderhelping out the rest ofthe forecast.

Shaun Majumder eventually forgave Ryan Snoddon for omitting Burlington from the weather map. (CBC)

"Cartwright? Smoking. Happy Valley-Goose Bay? Forget about it. Churchill Falls? Wow. Lab City? Whatever, you're too close to Quebec to worry about. Just kidding Lab City, I love you too."

Someone even phoned the CBC newsroom to ask about "the joker" who had taken over the forecast.
