1 dead after single-vehicle crash on Veterans Memorial Highway

One person is dead after a single-vehicle crashon the Veterans Memorial Highway early Friday morning.

The RCMPsaid it responded to the scene at7 a.m.between the Bay Roberts and North River exits.

The driver, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene.

The RCMP'straffic analyst is investigating, along with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The RCMP wasassisted byBay Roberts Fire Rescue and the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure.
