The Crown corporation halted travel as a storm passes through the area.

A storm warning is in effect for the Cabot Strait. In Nova Scotia, a storm is expected to hit full force on Monday afternoon, with Cape Breton bearing the brunt.

There are also wind warnings in place for southwestern Newfoundland, with wind gusts expected to hit 100 km/h by Monday afternoon and as much as 150 km/h on Tuesday.
