Three youth under the age of 18 have been arrested in connection with a fire Wednesday at Tuktoyaktuk's community hall.

RCMP say the three have been released on a promise to appear in court.

The fire at Kitti Hall happened at around 3 a.m. Wednesday and the hamlet's volunteer fire department extinguished it about two hours later. There were no injuries.

RCMP say the damage estimate is now $300,000 and may continue to increase as the building is still being evaluated.

They say the investigation is ongoing.
