4 arrested, 2 injured in Yellowknife Lanky Court drug search

RCMP got more than they bargained for when executing a search warrant at an apartment in Yellowknife's Lanky Court Wednesday night.

The apartment door had been fortified, and as they worked to overcome the barricade, suspects inside thrust a sword through the door "in what is believed to be an attempt to stab the officers," a news release says.

RCMP did enter, and arrested four males.

One police officer and one of the suspects were injured during the arrests. Both were briefly taken to hospital and released.

A small amount of marijuana and a sword were seized in the search.

No charges have been laid. Three adults and one youth are in custody as the investigation continues.
