Canadian North will now be flying passengers between Iqaluit and Ottawa in January and February after all.

Earlier this month, Canadian North had announced it would not be flying the Iqaluit-Ottawa route in January and February due to planned maintenance, and then cancelled several more flights between the two cities starting Dec.13.

But following the announcement by First Air last week that it willendthe codeshare agreement between the two airlines as of May 16, 2017, Canadian North is changing its schedule.

It says it will be ending the service interruption early and introducinga next generation Boeing 737-300 combination cargo-passenger planeon theOttawa-Iqaluit route, starting Jan.2.

The airlinesays its second 737-300Combi should beready in March. ItsMackenzie Valley route in N.W.T. will be temporarily served by a full passenger 737-300 during this period.

Canadian North says the cancellation of the codeshare agreement will require it to make schedule changes and it will be launching a new flight schedule in the coming months.
