Daniel Joel Mason turns himself in to RCMP to face shooting-related charges

Daniel Joel Mason, subject of a Canada-wide search warrant this week, has turned himself in to Whitehorse police. He's facing several charges related to a downtown shooting on Nov. 14.

One of the men charged in connection with a downtown Whitehorse shooting earlier this monthhas turned himself in to police.

Daniel Joel Mason, of Yukon, has been the subject of a Canada-wide warrant for almost a week. He turned himself in to Whitehorse RCMPon Thursday.

Sean Kenneth Broadly, facing the same charges, is still at large.

The two men are accused of attempted murder, kidnapping, and several other weapons-related charges in connection with a shooting incident on Nov. 14.

Police said gunshots were fired near the corner of Main Streetand 6th Avenue. Two men were later found injured, apparently by gunfire.

RCMPhave saidthe investigation is considered "high priority," but are releasing few details while it continues.

They're cautioning the public that Broadly may possibly be armed and should not be approached.
