Iqaluit thief breaks into car outside church during service

Police say a suspect smashed a vehicle's window and stole cash outside St Jude's Anglican cathedral between 8 and 9:20 p.m. on Sunday night.

Iqaluit RCMP are asking for the public's help in finding a suspect who broke into a vehicle outside theAnglican church on Sunday.

Police say the incident occurred outside St Jude's Anglican cathedral between 8 and 9:20 p.m. on Sunday night. One of thevehicle's windows wassmashed and $700in cash was stolen.

"We were at the church service in the evening and I was approached saying my car window was broken," saidMosesAtagoyuk,the owner of the vehicle.

"My wife had left her purse and someone took the cash and that is all they took."
