Friends, family, RCMP searching for Jake Angurasuk in Iqaluit

Family, community members and RCMP in Iqaluit are looking forJake Angurasuk, a homeless man whohas not been at the Uquutaq Men's Shelter since Dec. 4.

Angurasuk is an Inuk male, 29, with collar-length brown hair and brown eyes.

"Anumber of people are searching on the beach," said JanetBrewster, president of theUquutaqSociety.

"We'd like people to, of course, have a look around their property or their work and look under buildings, inside shacks. If people are spending any time out on the land, if they cankeep an eye out, that would be great."

Posters are up with Angurasuk's last picture taken atthe Uquutaq Shelter.

Individuals will be outside Northmart this afternoon to help spread the word.
