Jessica Frotten to compete at IPC World Championships in Qatar

Yukon wheelchair athlete Jessica Frotten is one of 35 men and women named by Athletics Canada to compete at the International Paralympic Commitee (IPC) World Championships next month in Doha, Qatar.

After bagging twomedalsat last month's ParapanAm Games, Yukoner Jessica Frotten is headed to another international competition next month.

Athletics Canada named Frottento its35-member team going to the International ParalympicCommitee(IPC) World Championships in Doha, Qatar, October 21 to 31. She is the onlyNortherner on the team.

In August, Frottentook home two bronze medals from the ParapanAm Games, and narrowly missed winning a third. She won her medals in the 100-meter and 400-meter wheelchair races.

The Whitehorse resident, aged 27,became wheelchair bound following a motor vehicle accident in 2009.
