Once approved, the capital budget spells out how much money will go to Nunavut's 25 communities for infrastructure such as school additions, arenas, community centres and sewage lagoons.

All government departments will appear before a legislature committee to discuss the proposed capital budget during the two-week legislative session, government house leader Louis Tapardjuk told CBC News on Monday.

Tapardjuk saidMLAs will also consider some legislation changes, including amendments to the Retirement Plan Beneficiaries Act, Nunavut's language legislation andthe Utility Rates Review Council Act.

"Those are the bills that we'd like to deal with, plus there are other bills that are going to be introduced to the session," Tapardjuk said.

Nunuvut's third legislative assembly is also expected to discuss the findings of a recent review of the territorial government's programs and policies.

The session is scheduled to run until Dec. 8.
