Person injured in bear attack at Pine Lake campground in Yukon

A person is receiving medical attention after a "bear incident" near Pine Lake campground in the Yukon.

Yukon Conservation Officer Services said in a Facebook post Monday morning that officers were responding

A person is receiving medical attention after a "bear incident" near Pine Lake campground in the Yukon.

In a Facebook post on Monday morning,Yukon Conservation Officer Services, said officers were responding and had located and removed bears matching the description of those involved.

"Pine Lake Campground and surrounding trails remain closed while officers are in the area," the post read.

"Conservation officers are asking the public to stay away from the area until further notice."

There were no details in the postaboutwhen the incident happened, how the incident unfoldedorhow serious the individual's injuries were.
