RCMP reminding Whitehorse drivers to chill spring fever speeding

RCMP will be out for a second day today, reminding Whitehorse drivers to follow the speed limits.

They handed out 24 speeding tickets over two hours on Two Mile Hill onThursday. Another driver was caught with a suspended license.

Cpl. Shawn Pollard says it's a seasonal problem.

"Along with the spring weather, people just seem to drive faster when the sun comes out, the road's dry up," he said. "Getting some pretty high speeds on this hill."

Pollard saysthe fastest speed clocked by officers was a driver going 107 km/hour in the 60 km/hourzone.
