Yukoners report getting election robocalls

Some Yukoners say they received robocalls during the last federal election directing them to the wrong polling station.

Sylvie Leonard is one of several people who say they received a phone call on the day of the election. She says she also got a call before the election.

"At the end of the call they asked if I was going to support the Conservatives and I said no," she said.

"And then I remember getting a call on election day about the polling station but it was a little odd because I had voted on the advance polls. So I thought that was odd. And I knew that wasn't the right location but I just thought that was weird."

Leonard says she didn't think about it again untilthe robocall scandal hit the media.

Bob Nardi says he also received a call telling him his local polling station had moved from Hidden Valley School to the Hootalinqua Firehall.

In the May 2011 federal election, Conservative Ryan Leef defeated incumbent Liberal Larry Bagnell in a close race, with 5,422 votesto Bagnell's5,290.

Leef's office says he's in the bush this week and not available for comment.
