Tulita RCMP seize 142 containers of alcohol over Easter weekend

Tulita RCMPseized 142 containers of alcohol over Easter weekend by interceptingthree shipments of alcohol coming into the community.

Police seized 81 375-ml bottles of vodka, one750-ml bottle of whisky, 48 cans of beerand 12 alcohol coolers while conducting vehicle checkstops between April 2 and 4.

Charges are pending against four men and four womenfrom Tulitaunder the N.W.T. Liquor Act.

The Mackenzie Valley winter road systemclosed for the season on March 30.
