2 charged with second-degree murder in Inuvik, N.W.T.

RCMP in the Northwest Territories say they've charged two people in connection with the death of a 39-year-old man in the community.

RCMP in the Inuvik, N.W.T., say they've charged two people in connection with the death of a 39-year-old man.

Annabelle Edwards, 24, and Felicia Elanik, 20, both from Inuvik, have been charged with second-degree murder and performing an indignity to human remains.

Both have been remanded into custody are scheduled to appear in court in Yellowknife on Sept. 3.

In a news release Tuesday, RCMP said they received a report early Sunday morning that someone was dead behind a building in Inuvik.

RCMP did not release the name of the man who died.They also said there is a publication ban on the details of his death.
