Water problems close Behchoko nursing station, school

The school and the nursing station in Behchoko are closed due broken water line.

Louisa Wedzen says they're having a water emergency.

"Because our pipe blew up. We won't have any water for the pipe system for at least 24 hours," said Louisa Wedzen.

The community is struggling to figure out what to do with the seniors home and the police station.

Wedzen suggested that anyone affected should buy some water, or go to the Tlicho office.

The break affects everyone on piped water. Neighbouring community Edzo, and anyone on trucked water, are fine.
