Till Moritz Gerull flew from Frankfurt to Whitehorse on June 8, 2011 and "planned on walking through the forests of Canada," according to RCMP.

Police say Gerull did not take his flight back to Germany and his flight wasn't rebooked. He has not had any contact with his family in more than a year. They reported him missing in Germany last month.

Gerull is described as five feet, nineinches tall, 160 pounds with blue eyes and short blond hair.

Anyone who may have interacted with him since his arrival in Yukon in 2011, or who has information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Whitehorse RCMP, or the nearest RCMP detachment.
