Yellowknife RCMP lay charges in convenience store robberies

Yellowknife RCMPsay charges are pendingin two separate robberies of convenience stores in the city last month.

A man is facing four charges including robbery and assault with a weapon in connection with the robbery of theShell gas station convenience store on Range Lake Road April 22.

Police had been seeking two suspects in that robbery.

Police also say a youth is facing charges of robbery and wearing a disguise with the intent to commit an offence in connection with the robbery of the Winks convenience store on Forrest Drive on April 26.

RCMP say both individuals remain in custody and will appear in court at a later date.
