Youth arrested in Joseph Cameron shooting death released without charges

Police have released a 17-year-old without charges after he was arrested in connection with the March shooting death of Joseph Cameron Thursday.

Halifax Regional Police have released a teenwithout charges after he was arrested in connection with the March shooting death of Joseph Cameron.

The 17-year-old was arrested Thursday morningat a home on Spring Avenue in Dartmouth.Police saidhe was released without charges that eveningafter being questioned.

Cameron's body was found on a sidewalkin the area of Spring Avenue and Mount Edward Road in Dartmouth on the morning of March 29.

In early May, police said they were looking for witnesses who may have seen a dark blue 2012 Kia Rondo in the area around the time Cameron was gunned down.

Just days after Cameron was killed, police searched three homes in the Kennedy Drive and Spring Avenue area. They said they found items of "potential interest" but didnot offerany more details on what was recovered.
