CBC Do Crew pitches in at Farm Fit Fridays in Dartmouth North

Information Morningco-host Louise Renault and the CBC Do Crewgot dirty in Dartmouthtoday.

They pitched in to help out at the Dartmouth North Community Food Centre, helping with the community garden, building a rock wall and even a treehouse.

And they were rewarded with their efforts with a lovely lunch. Here's a video of today's events.

CBC Nova Scotia's Do Crew pitched it the Dartmouth North Community Food Centre.

The Dartmouth North CFC is a place where residents share the growing, preparation and eating of healthy, affordable food.

The organization is creating an urban farm, complete with vegetable gardens, community plots, a greenhouse, fruit and nut trees and a shady play area for kids that they're calling a secret forest.

CBC Nova Scotia's Do Crew is a monthly initiativecelebrating the spirit of volunteerism and community in the Halifax region.
