In its most recent project, CBC Nova Scotia'sDo Crew rolled up its sleeves and scrubbed a local child care centre clean.

Volunteers, including MLA Brendan Maguire andCBC reporter Stephen Puddicombe, donned rubber gloves and spent the afternoon scrubbing walls, play surfaces and steamcleaning rugs at the Spryfield YWCA's Early Learning and Child Care Centre.

"If you imagine tiny cubbies, full of tiny jackets and tiny shoes that get touched and touched and touched several times a day. So taking out every tiny jacket and pair of shoes and wiping them down is a huge effort. To have a Do Crew to do that work is quite outstanding,"says Mia Suokonautio, the executive director of the YWCA in Spryfield.

A big thank you to Brendan, Stephen, Carol, Michelle, Nora, Trudy, Kevin, Johnny, Phil and Sarah for being part of this month's Do Crew!
